Roger Craig Smith, the latest voice actor that performed Sonic The Hedgehog's voice, has retired from the role after ten years.
Recently, the former voice of Sonic from Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2, Ryan Drummond, has contacted Sega about returning to the franchise.
He confirmed during a livestream that his agent reached out to Sega. He stated:
I wish I could, but we don’t know anything yet. You know as much as I know… We don’t want to get kinda bogged down with this conversation topic, but I don’t have any trouble... in telling everyone… my agent did contact SEGA today, so hopefully there’ll be a conversation. And we'll see what happens after that. There's a lot of different factors that people don't even realise that are in play here.
